Marital/Relational Therapy can be very successful. Our framework is based off The Gottman Method, which is backed by 40 years of research.
Please Note: The couple will be treated as 1 entity
Session will typically go as follows
1. Welcome sessions: clients will gain an understanding of the Gottman Method and will be given a link to complete a very comprehensive couples assessment
2. After the assessment is completed, there will be 2 individual sessions where each client will explore their individual needs within their relationship.
3. Feed back session: couples will be given feedback regarding their assessment and a treatment plan will be completed.
Remaining sessions will address goals agreed upon in the treatment plan.

It is our view that the family is a system in which each member has a role to play . Within the boundaries of the system , patterns occur as a member's behavior is caused or causes other members behavior in certain ways. Maintaining these behavioral patterns can lead to balance in the family system, but also dysfunction. When one person in a family is effected in either a positive or negative manner the entire family is effected. Therefore, it is our goal to discover these patterns and bring the unit back to homeostasis.
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that involves multiple people and multiple therapist at the same time. This type of therapy is beneficial in that it provides hope, universality, altruism, socialization techniques, interpersonal learning, and cohesiveness. Research indicates that group therapy is especially effective in treating mood disorders and trauma, but is not limited to such. We are open to offer any type of group therapy we see beneficial. Please contact us to find out current groups and further information.
